"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:"

  Ephesians 4:11-12

Greetings in the Precious Name of Jesus!

The Lord continues to do awesome things with and through Revival Fire Ministries, Int’l. As we embark upon a season of fasting and consecrating ourselves before the Lord, we want to make certain that the Lord has complete access to every area of our lives.

Our theme “Positioned for Greatness” is designed to challenge us individually and corporately as a ministry to expect the Lord to do wonders among us.

2 Corinthians 4: 7-10 (KJV)
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

During these 21 days, we are suggesting you ask the Lord for the following:

  • To reveal to you what needs to be refined in your personal life and walk with him.
  • How you can use your gifts, talents, abilities and resources for expanding the Kingdom of God.
  • How you can become a contagious Christian, as you share your faith with those you know personally and encounter.
  • That you will be determined to allow the Holy Spirit to equip and empower you to effectuate positive change in Revival Fire Ministries, Int’l.
  • That you will become more committed, dedicated and faithful to the vision God has ordained for Revival Fire Ministries, Int’l.
  • That you will become diligent in spending time in prayer, praise, the word and worship with signs and wonders that will follow your ministry.
  • Finally, that you will continue to intercede with prayer and thanksgiving for Apostle, Pastor and the entire leadership of Revival Fire Ministries, Int’l.

Pastor Jeffrey and I will be praying that God will strengthen, encourage and keep you. We are believing the Lord will continue to show himself strong in each of our lives and ministries as we endeavor to fulfill the Purpose, Plan and Destiny God has for each of us.

The Lord desires for us all to live a life of Holiness and be the Light in the world. We are to lift the name of Jesus through our lifestyle not only in church but also in our homes, workplace and community.

We are expecting to experience an awesome move of God in our lives and ministry as we invest this time of consecration in fasting and prayer also spending quality time in the Word of God and seeking His face.

Please note the instructions that are included in this manual & the Daniel Fast Guidelines.

In Kingdom Building,

Misty Holmes Dorsey Pastor

Matthew 6:16-18

Moreover, when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;
That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.

(When we are fasting, it is between God and us. People should not be able to tell by our verbal or non- verbal actions. We should not look sad and hungry. Instead, we should seek God for strength daily.)

Isaiah 58:6

Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

(During this time of consecration, allow God to destroy every yoke in your life so you can fulfill the purpose and plan He has for you.)

1 Corinthians 7:5

Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

(For the married, it is important that you go to your spouse and ask permission to participate. We want to do all things according to the scriptures, so God can get the glory out of this.)

There are people, who want to consume your time. They desire to be first in line for your time. They will get a temper tantrum if they can’t get your time. They will talk about you to other people because they can’t monopolize your time. What is being described here is people who want access to your time without commitment.

They are too busy with their time to say hello. Too busy with their time to call on your birthday. They don’t have enough of their time to see if you are okay. They don’t understand why you need their time. In other words, they want access without commitment.

Don’t be alarmed at how they don’t appreciate your time. God is used to it, since they want Him to respond for their emergencies but are too busy when God makes requests for their time! So, you have a decision to make regarding your time.

No Commitment No Access = No Time!

Just a thought! Many express how they would like to experience financial freedom, eliminate their debt, can enjoy life and to share times of fun and relaxation with their family and friends. However, many are not willing to invest in their dream or wish list.

To achieve success whether it’s business, education, family or total independence it requires dedication, focus, sacrifice and commitment. While attending a “Succeed In Life” training, one of my mentors shared this comment: “Rich people have big libraries, poor people have big TV’s.” Just a thought! Are you worth the investment!

I have set a personal goal to share life changing information with 100 family and friends in 100 days.

Many talk about becoming:

-  A Great Athlete

-  A Millionaire

-  A Better Parent

-  The Best Spouse

-  Successful Entrepreneur

To achieve any of the above, it’s going to require, effort, discipline the willingness and determination to work hard and work smart. Also, you must surround yourself with people that can provide good counsel and wisdom to hold you accountable to achieve greatness with integrity.

My father invested some pearls of wisdom into his eight children. He taught us that “Anything worth having is worth working for.” In other words, it’s nice to talk about what you would like to become, that’s half the battle but are you willing to remain focused and forge ahead to become what you have set out to be. Greatness is not determined by what others think of you but rather what they see you have become.
